First Aviation Academy Graduates its First Batches of Cadets

First Aviation Academy Inc. celebrated the graduation of its 24 pilot cadets from its Subic and Clark-based campuses. The event was a heart-warming and joyful culmination of their journey to become commercial airline pilots which took place at the Diplomatic Hall of Marriott Grand Ballroom in front of NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

FAA Board Member and PTC Holdings CEO, Mr. Gerardo Borromeo, welcomed the graduates and their guests by sharing the FAA Story and the future that awaits its graduates. He reminded them that they should be ready to face the challenges that awaits them and be ready to soar.

FAA Accountable Manager, Capt. Jesus Madlangbayan

Right after the welcome remarks, FAA Accountable Manager, Capt. Jesus Madlangbayan shared the stage to recall the training journey of the cadets. “The future now belongs to you, everything now depends on your ability and skills that FAA has taught you to reach the ultimate goal of becoming an airline pilot,” said Capt. Madlangbayan.

FAA Chairman, Mr. Eduardo Luis Tan Luy

FAA Chairman, Mr. Eduardo Luis Tan Luy, also gave his felicitations to the graduates through an inspiring video message. He pointed out that the airline industry is slowly getting back on air and it is but a perfect time that FAA is graduating its first 24 cadets who will play a vital role in reviving the airline industry.

Secretary of Transportation, Hon. Jaime Bautista

FAA COO, MGen. Restituto Padilla Jr. AFP (Ret), showed a surprise video message by the Secretary of Transportation, Hon. Jaime Bautista. This was delivered before his representative from CAAP, Assistant Director General, MGen. Ricardo Banayat AFP (Ret.) addressed the graduates as the guest speaker for the night. MGen. Banayat greeted the guests and graduates with high hopes and shared updates about the aviation industry and the government efforts to help the industry soar again.

Certificates were presented by FAA Head of Training, Capt. Patrick Moran together with Capt. Jesus Madlangbayan and FAA Board Member, Ms. Cristina Manzano.

Pilot Trainee, Ma. Angeli Alvarez

Aside from their training certificates, special awards were given to top performing cadets per batch. The Leadership Award was given to Pilot Trainee, Patrick Joshua Angeles while the Most Distinguished Graduate was awarded to Pilot Trainee, Ma. Angeli Alvarez.

The event ended with a toast from FAA Corporate Secretary and MarcoAsia Senior Vice President, Atty. Marivic Moya.
