The Basic Cadetship Program covers Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and Instrument Rating (IR). Upon completion of the Commercial Pilot Course with IR the pilot trainee will have acquired the necessary skills to operate single-engine aircraft to the standards required Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to acquire Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating.

Requirements

To be eligible to enroll in our CPL-IR course, you must meet and submit the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years old (16 years old is allowed provided their parents will sign a Student Pilot Authorization Form, and they must be 17 years old at the PPL checkride)
  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • Hold a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate (FAA will assist in acquiring students medical cert.)
  • NBI Clearance
  • Special Study Permit (SSP) – For Foreign Students

 

Duration

The ATPT course typically takes 15 months to finish, with trainings being conducted 6 days per week, and ground classes delivered on an average of 6 hours per day.

Course Breakdown

  • Complete PPL, CPL, and IR ground school
  • 46 hours of Redbird MCX, G1000 equipped
  • 167 hours of Cessna 172/Tecnam P2010 single-engine training (including checkrides)
