Instrument Rating (IR) Course
An Instrument Rating (IR) refers to the qualifications required for an individual to be able to fly with sole reference to the in-cockpit instrumentation.
Requirements
To be eligible to enroll in our IR course, you must meet and submit the following requirements:
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Hold an English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 (minimum)
- Hold a valid Radio telephony License
Duration
The IR course typically takes 3 to 4 months to complete, with ground classes delivered on an average of 7 hours per day.
Course Breakdown
- Instrument Rating ground school
- 31 hours of Redbird MCX, G1000 equipped (including checkride)
- 10 hours of Cessna 172/Tecnam P2010 single-engine aircraft with option to build-up time of 25 hours
